May. 18, 2008 – The Big Move

This week is “The Big Move” !  We are picking our family up from Michigan and moving to Southern New Hampshire. It is a crazy, scary, exciting prospect all rolled into one.  We have both lived in Michigan all our lives and it is bittersweet to leave all our family and friends behind.

It has taken us months of prayer, tears, worry and excitement to get to this point.  Just deciding if we should relocate with my husband’s company was very difficult.  Now we are at the point where the time has come-so to speak.  Today we are hosting a going away party for ourselves.  We have made so many good friends since we have been here and it is difficult to leave them behind, but we know that God has a plan for our family, and part of that is letting go.  We are looking forward to sharing time with all the people that we have been blessed to know, some have been friends for a while and some are newer friends that have come from unexpected places.  It is a day for relaxing and enjoying fellowship, topped off with some good food and homemade soda!  The rest of our week will be taken up with last minute move preparations, and then the movers come to box up our life and transport it for us.
