We were very fortunate when we rented our townhouse to get a unit on the pond. First, it is a great view, but more importantly they stock the ponds with fish and encourage fishing. Most of you know that Joel is a very dedicated fisherman, so this very nearly Utopia for him. He can step out the back door and fish to his hearts content! This kids have caught more fish than I can count, from little itty-bitty 2″ fish to some giant carp.
This big carp came out of the pond in our back yard. Hannah caught it, but wouldn’t hold it because it was “slimy”—such a girl thing! She made her brother hold it for her.
This is the second giant she has caught or maybe it is just the same one twice?!
Joel caught a giant carp last night that was supposedly even bigger, but the camera battery was dead and we missed getting a picture! (Joel is not disappointed, now he has a reason to keep on fishing!)
